About Us

Women & Men in Blue & White began their activities in 2004 with the intention of helping and supporting IDF soldiers and conveying the important message that the Jewish people deeply appreciate their dangerous service to the country and its citizens. In May of 2009, we officially became a recognized non-profit organization in Israel and were registered under the number: 580508448.

How did Women & Men in Blue & White begin?

We are an apolitical group of women and men that starting going to the checkpoints (machsomim) in 2004 at the time of the Second Intifada. We wanted to give moral support to the soldiers on this necessary, difficult, and dangerous duty. Besides bringing refreshments to the soldiers, and baked goods, we listened to the soldiers' complaints and tried to bring them to the attention of the army, lawmakers and the public.

Our Goals Today

Our organization has grown a lot over the past five years as the situation in Israel has evolved. One of our main objectives today is helping Lone Soldiers make their home away from home and integrate into civilian society in Israel upon the completion of their duty through our Center for Lone Soldiers of Haifa and the North – located in the easily accessible German Colony of Haifa. We are there from the time they arrive in Israel, through their service and beyond.

We set soldiers up with host families for Shabbat and Holidays to support them during and after their service and give them a welcoming environment to be in during their time off duty.

We plan bar-b-ques for platoons after basic trainings and other hard trainings. Many of which American visitors and Bar Mitzvahs are invited to in order to find out more about Israel and raise the spirits of our soldiers.

Our volunteers are serving refreshments and light snacks to soldiers on duty and giving moral support.

Women & Men in Blue & White
also provide IDF soldiers and their families with assistance during emergencies or times of need at the front, in hospitals, and in their homes.

In a small country such as Israel, we all know someone who is serving in the army.
Soldiers are and always have been close to our hearts.

For this reason, we appeal to those who care about soldiers and Israeli society to lend a hand in realizing this vision.

Sincerely yours,
Women & Men in Blue & White
